This weekend we made a quick trip to Grand Lake.  My mom went with us; her plan was to watch Jasmine while Kadin, Jason, and I skied.  When we arrived in GL Friday night at 9pm and Jason had to shovel a path to the door through 4 feet of snow (see lastest pics).  Kadin took a tumble down the stairs Friday night.  He wasn’t feeling real well Saturday but decided to try skiing anyway.  He made it through an hour and then grandma had two kids to care for.  Jason and I had a fun day - I skied and he snowboarded.  

During our "working vacation" this last week in Steamboat we took the kids to the new Old Town Hot Springs.  It was closed for the last six months due to remodeling/reconstruction.  We have a pic posted in our gallery of us at the hot springs.  The temperature outside was 7 degrees and the temperature of the pool was 92 degrees.  Jasmine’s little dip in the pool was only a few minutes, but she loved every minute of it.  

We just returned from Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Our family enjoyed 6 days at the World’s Largest Indoor Water Park and Mall of America.  Unfortunately we do not have a lot of pictures from our trip posted; we used a video camera instead of a regular camera.  We did get a picture of Kadin’s favorite part of the water park which was hanging like Spiderman from a rope while trying to walk across logs floating on water (see latest pics).  Jasmine loved the lazy river.  She would ride in a double tube with her dad for over an hour.  She is fascinated with water and did not mind the temperature at all.  At the Mall of America we took a behind the scenes tour of an aquarium and rode roller coasters and other rides in the indoor theme park.   

Our family celebrated Christmas Eve at my dad’s house.  My brother Shawn surprised us and flew in from Florida; he has not been able to celebrate with us in over 10 years.  Jasmine unwrapped her first present.  We all thought she would quickly tear the paper off, but instead she tore small parts off and then sat down and played with the torn pieces.  

Christmas Day my mom, Rex, and GG came over.  We had a ball opening presents, playing games, and hanging out.  Rex brought big innertubes and we all went sledding near our house.  Jason and I took our four-wheelers around the neighborhood and rode through the snow.

We had a wonderful weekend in Grand Lake.  Our friends, The Bullard Family, joined us for the weekend. Jason and Zane learned how to snowboard while Jamie, myself, and the kids hung out and went sledding.  Kadin took two days of ski lessons.  He rode the lift and skied down the bunny slope.  He still thinks its more fun to sit in the warm building and color vs practicing skiing.
