We spent a wonderful weekend with my mom and Rex in Grand Lake. We hung out the entire weekend at the mountain house. The kids, my mom, and I played games and watched movies, while Jason and Rex remodeled the bathroom. Many thanks to Rex for all his help. The bathroom is definitely a work in progress - the plumbing is fixed and the new bathtub is in.

The “Doggy” and “Superman” had a great time trick or treating last night. Jasmine was a trooper! She made it around half our neighborhood, riding in the wagon sometimes and walking other times. She would attempt to get out of the wagon before arriving at each door because she was so excited. Neighbors would ask “what does a doggy say” and she would say “wuff,” and then she would go “thank you.” She loved trying to keep up with her brother and never got upset once during the hour plus we were out. Kadin and I went around our entire neighborhood, while Jason, Jasmine, Grandma, Poppy, and GG passed out candy and ate pizza. We handed out more then 50 Lik-M-Aid Fun Dips.

Today Kadin had his first basketball game. He did awesome! Yippie! He was actually focused and seemed to be enjoying himself. I think with a few more games under his belt he will maybe understand the game and enjoy it more.

I planted 100 bulbs/plants today. I told Jason all the soreness will be worth it if our yard looks good next year. I am keeping my fingers crossed!!!

Kadin is able to ride his four-wheeler well this year. He can actually touch both foot pegs. Jasmine has a little electric four-wheeler and went to get her bicycle helmet so she could ride like her brother. She loves hearing and seeing the four-wheelers. We are going to have a extremely cute tomboy on our hands. It seems she loves shoes and four-wheelers - go figure.

Today was pumpkin carving day. We carved six pumpkins, a spider, a cat, a ghost, a happy face, and two bats. Jasmine had a ball cleaning out her pumpkins guts. So much fun, in fact, that she would pull all the insides out and then stuff them back in so she could clean it out all over again. She stood on a chair and worked on her pumpkin for at least 30 minutes. Kadin had a fun this year, cleaning out his own pumpkin and doing most of the carving. He made the two bats. Jason carved the spider for Jasmine, because she loves the “Itsy Bitsy Spider” Book and to sing the song and has enjoyed having “spidey” up around the house for decoration. I carved the cat for Kadin, because he would love a real pet cat, And, of course, I carved the happy face!

Thanks to Kadin’s encouragement we made the best baked pumpkin seeds. Yummy!

We bought Jasmine the coolest little seat for riding with us on the bicycles. It attaches to the front handle bar. It was very easy to install and worth every penny. Jason and I are bummed we did not come up with the idea! But at least we found it (tried two different ones and couldn’t find one to work on our mountain bikes). Will post pic soon.

Jasmine surprised her daddy today. After Jason laid her down for her nap he went downstairs. The office, which is where is was, is right under Jasmine’s bedroom. He heard a thud thud. When walking upstairs Jason found Jasmine opening the door of her room and walking out holding her head going “ooouch". Yep, you guessed it . . she climbed/fell out of her crib. We had no idea we would have to face this issue at 19 months. Kadin slept in his crib until he was three.

Jasmine said today to her daddy, “no, no I said". He thinks she gets that from me!
