Jasmine is adjusting well to nursery school. She goes to The Children’s Workshop one day a week. Jason has been dropping her off for the last month because it was breaking my heart to see her get upset. But this week I took her and was so proud of her. We walked in holding hands and she led me to a little table where she sat down with the rest of the kids to eat a snack. Here is my baby sitting in a regular little chair eating with a bunch of her friends, content as can be. She is growing up so fast!

Today we stopped at Wendy’s for lunch before driving to Grand Lake for the weekend. I brought the food to the table and Jasmine says, “mmm nuggets". Kadin, Jason, and I all looked at each other in shock. We no longer have a baby girl, we have a little girl.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Bill!

Today Jasmine had her 18 month check-up. Dr. Ryan said she is in the 75t percentile for height and weighs 25 pounds. She has a good vocabulary for her age and is meeting all of her developmental milestones. She also got 4 shots :(

1st Place Winner in Kiddy Parade
Today we all were in Windsor for the Labor Day Parade. Kadin and Jasmine participated in the Children’s Parade and won first place. They received a trophy and $10.00. Jasmine loved riding with her big brother in his corvette through the parade route. They went about 10 blocks! People were standing up clapping for them. They are “famous” as Kadin would say because they had their picture taken for the Windsor Tribune.

Kadin and Grandpa Swanson spent the last month building the float, which was a tribute to the town of Windsor and “rebuilding together” after the May tornado.

First day of Kindergarten!!! Kadin started Frontier Academy today. They have a specific dress code and all kids are required to have their shirts tucked in and wear belts. He looked so handsome in his uniform! Jasmine and I walked Kadin into his classroom today. He sat down at his desk and looked up at me and said “you know mom this is all new for me, but I will be okay". He was such a big boy!

Kadin started fall soccer today. His coach is Mark Sheppard, and he has coached Kadin the last two seasons. He is a great role model for Kadin, and Kadin is thrilled to be back on his team. Kadin is doing this little hop/dance thing out on the field this year. He runs along with the other boys, but then when he gets close to the action he hops up and down, like he is ready to participate but does not want to get to close to the action. When asked why he says, “I don’t want to kick anyone or get kicked".
