Today we had an amazing time with Susan and her family in Colorado Springs. All of us played at The North Pole Amusement Park. The kids rode on a ferris wheel, a roller coaster, and a bunch of other rides. Kadin loved spending time with cousin Julia, who is his age. They were inseparable and got along all day. Back at Susan’s house Lauren taught Jasmine how to play with her toys. Thanks to Susan and Luke for the great margaritas and guacamole.
This weekend our family also visited the Cave of the Winds. I am claustrophobic and struggled quite a bit inside the caves. It actually helped for me to carry Jasmine, even up the steep winding staircases that had rock walls all around us. Poor Kadin, he really did not like the cave at all. He kept saying, “mommy can we please leave now". Kadin did enjoy mining for gold and other rocks. He was very excited to get quartz, amethyst, etc.

Jasmine and her friend Kaitlyn played today. Jasmine wanted to play with her but didn’t want Kaitlyn to play with any of her toys. When Kaitlyn would pick up one of Jasmine’s book, Jasmine would go up to her and say “mine” and try to take it away. Thank goodness Kadin and Jasmine play well together. I don’t think I could hear “no mine” all day long. ![]()

Today was Jasmine’s first day of nursery school. Her and I went one day last week for an hour, but today she went for a few hours by herself. It is so hard to leave your baby!!!! She clung to me the entire time and kept saying “mommy, mommy". I really like her teacher Mrs. Allison. And I know it will be good for her in the long run, but that didn’t make today any easier. I called to check on her and they said she was doing okay. They said “she has periods were she just starts crying for no reason". When I picked her up they said she was showing signs of bonding with the teachers already. But it broke my heart because when I walked in and she saw me, she just started crying and ran over to me. I picked her up and she laid her head on my shoulder and would not let go!

Happy Birthday Kadin!!!
Kadin turned 6 today. He had his birthday party at Adventure Gymnastics with five friends. They jumped in a big pit filled with foam cubes, jumped on trampolines, swung from ropes, and bounced on inflatable toys. After we wore them out there went went to the Fun Plex Park for some pizza and cake. This years theme was Poke’mon.

Kadin finished testing at Frontier Academy today. The last two days for four hours each day the children were tested to assess their skills prior to entering Kindergarten. His assessment sheet stated that he is prepared well for Kindergarten - knows his letters, letter sounds, can count to 100, knows his shapes, can write his name, tie his shoes, recognize opposites, etc. Cheers to Kadin’s Family and Wee Love Preschool for everyones hard work!!!
